Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23 1970 is an American actor. Cordelia Chase was one of the characters in Buffy the Vampire's supernatural drama series (1997-1999), and the spin-off series Angel (1999-04). Also, she was a part of Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's character in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was the main character in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter as an employee of a bird sanctuary and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also a member of a troupe that performed in song and dance which performed in Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was just 15 years old. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter took a trip to Europe after graduating. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor and videostore clerk and property manager. She cheered for the San Diego Chargers football club in 1991. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. attacked her and two of her male buddies as they were swimming in San Diego. He was an ex- San Diego cop and serial sexual predator who tried to subdue them with a gunpoint. The two of them, Henry Hubbard Jr. as well as her companions were shot during the battle. They both survived. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to a 56-year prison for a string of rapes and burglaries. Carpenter carried Hubbard's police-issued flashlight from the beach, which he had abandoned at the scene and the flashlight became the most important evidence against him.
