Priyanka Chopra was born on July 18, 1982, in Jamshedpur, India. While in the high school system, Chopra won the Miss India pageant, and she soon followed it by taking the 2000 Miss World pageant as well. Following her international achievement, Chopra decided to pursue the field of film and became a major name in Bollywood. American television made her an instant star with Quantico which was an FBI drama that aired from 2015-2018. Also, she made headlines due to her wedding to Nick Jonas in December 2018. In 2003, she was in her first Bollywood film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. In the same year, she also acted in Andaaz. This started a long series of films that comprised Plan, Kismat (a romantic comedy about an espionage operative), Asambhav, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitrazz, and Asambhav All of which were released in 2004. Although the majority of these films did not make it to the top of the charts, Chopra's romantic comedy Mujhse Karogi was a big hit. Chopra was just 20 when she made her debut in film with Thamizhan, and then continued the same year with Jeet - Born to Win. Chopra declared that she was unhappy with her debut. "I was ready to quit the entertainment industry after having done it! I was unsure of what I was talking about or doing." The actor and the actress Nick Jonas went public with their relationship in the summer of 2018. The couple announced their engagement in July. Jonas is reported to have proposed on Chopra’s 36th birthday. They were married during an extravagant, multi-day wedding which began on the 1st of December on the 1st of December, 2018.
