Kristin Lee Davis Bio

Kristin Lee was born in Boulder, Colorado on February 23 in 1965. An only child, her parents divorced when she was still a newborn. When her mother Dorothy who was a data analyst at a university analysts, married Keith Davis in 1968, Keith was her stepfather and adopted her. Kristin moved with her parents to Columbia, South Carolina early in her early years of childhood. Her stepfather was then transferred to an institution. She remained in South Carolina until she graduated high school in 1983. After that, she relocated to New Jersey, where she attended Rutgers University. After graduation, she relocated to New York where she worked as a waitress before opening her own yoga studio with a friend. In 1995, she got her big breakthrough when she was offered the role of Brooke Armstrong Campbell on Melrose Place (1992). She resigned from the show after one year when producers realized that viewers were not happy with her character. In 1998, Kristin was cast as Charlotte York in Sex and the City (1998), of which she remained as a key cast member until the show's end in 2004. Kristin Davis is from Los Angeles. Columbia, SC was where her father, who was a psychologist, transferred her to. She later studied at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ) and, after graduating, relocated to New York, where she began working in classical and contemporary theater, as well as commercials. A friend of hers had opened a yoga studio before she arrived at Melrose Place (1992). She still enjoys yoga during her spare time, and also spinning and running.
