Samara Weaving Bio

Samara Weaving (born 23 February 1992) is an Australian model and actress. Weaving began her career in her native country of Australia, and was able to land her first acting role on the series Out of the Blue (2008). Her role as Indi Walker on the soap opera Home and Away (2009 - 2013) was her best-known role. She was awarded an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts nomination for Best Female Performance in 2011. After the end of Home and Away, Weaving was able to find roles in the United States. She appeared as a guest star on the series Ash vs Evil Dead (2015-2016) before becoming a series regular on SMILF in 2017, which was her last appearance prior to the airing of the second season in the year 2019. The year following her joining SMILF, Weaving starred in the films Mayhem and The Babysitter and had a supporting role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri that earned her an Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2019, Weaving received further recognition for her performance in the commercially and critically acclaimed Ready or Not, her first leading role in a stage American film. Weaving has alternated between film and television during her career. She was part of the main characters of the miniseries Picnic at Hanging Rock (2018) and Hollywood (2020). She has also starred in Guns Akimbo (2019), Last Moment of Clarity (2021) and Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020).
